We always love working with local Utah clients, so when we got in touch with the headphone experts at Jaybird, we were excited to partner with them to redesign Jaybirdsport.com. Jaybird makes premium products, but they were lacking an online presence to showcase their products in the same way. They were going through a brand identity shift at the same time, so we worked closely with their internal design and e-comm directors to create a clean and premium new site design that elevates their products.
A few of the key challenges of the new site were creating an interactive compare module that compared the features of each headphone, as well as showcasing each product in a unique and compelling way. Their internal dev team was using Adobe Experience Manager to build the site, so another design challenge was creating several reusable modules throughout the site while keeping the premium, editorial feel. We look forward to the new Jaybird.com launching in Spring of 2019.
Despite its nearly 60% female customer base, Jaybird has historically had a very masculine brand. To help make Jaybird feel more inclusive, we decided to go with a more approachable font than the handwritten and condensed fonts of past. In our search, we fell in love with Calibre as it seemed to echo the precision of Jaybird’s products themselves.
